Actress. Sara was born in Dublin, Ireland. She joined the Fays' Irish National Theatre Society in 1903. In 1904 she performed in "Riders to the Sea"; later that year she began her acting career at the Abbey Theatre. In 1917, Sara lost her husband, Henson and their newborn daughter during the influenza outbreak. She then went on to create the original Juno Boyle in "Juno and the Paycock" in 1924. In 1941 she was nominated as Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her role as Beth Morgan in the English made film "How Green Was My Valley". Her other English made films: 1935, "The Passing of the Third Floor Back", 1937, "Storm in a Teacup", 1938, "Kathleen"; her American made films: 1941, "How Green was My Valley", 1942, "Roxie Hart", 1944, 1946, "The Spiral Staircase", 1947, "Mourning Becomes Electra" and "My Wild Irish Rose", and in 1950, "Cheaper by the Dozen".
