Mrs. Macie Abercrombie Littrell, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday afternoon at Maury County Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Rev. J. Lowell Knupp, pastor of Santa Fe Baptist Church, Rev. Terry Ailor, paster of First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, and Danny Douglas, minister of Beech Hill Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. A native of Alabama, Mrs. Littrell was the daughter of the late Jim and Rachel Norvell Abercrombie and a member of the Allensville Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Annie Grace Wright of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Gladys Beatrice Shelton of Wyandotte, Mich.; a son, James W. Littrell of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Ola Maclin of Murfreesboro, and Mrs. Gladys Williams of Loretto; two brothers, Curtis Abercrombie, Loretto and Autie Abercrombie of Columbia; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.
