Turkey Creek, Clay Co., TN
Colonel Bailey Butler was in the War of 1812.
He was a wealthy planter in Tenn.
He was married to Adaline Walker.
His second wife was Sally Scanlon who is also buried in Butler cemetery.

Butler's Landing Historical Marker Dedication Ceremony - The Tennessee Historical Commission approved a historical highway marker for the Butler's Landing community. The sponsors of the marker were William J. Butler, Esq. of Lake Forest, IL; Emily Butler of Chicago, IL; Robert C. Butler of Suffern, NY; Mary Butler Hastings of Honolulu, HI; and Carolyn Butler Douglas of San Diego, CA, all of whom are descendants of Bailey Butler, the early nineteenth century pioneer and founder, with his brothers, of Butler's Landing, TN. There was a dedication of the marker at Butler's Landing on July 4, 2003.
