Mildred Nash Dodson, 88, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, May 15, in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was the widow of Frank Winfred Dodson.
Born in Charlotte County, she was daughter to the late Samuel "Doc" Nash and the late Lula Nash.

She is survived by her son, Thomas E. Dodson and his wife Jeanette of Tuscon, AZ; her daughter, Lisa D. Bauer and her husband David, of Raleigh, North Carolina; her brother, Keith Nash and his wife, Doreen, of Chesterfield; five grandchildren, Adam Bauer, T.J. Dodson, Justin Dodson, Aaron Bauer and Andrew Bauer and one great grandson, Samuel Bauer.

Mildred was a former employee of Craddock Terry Shoe Corporation and C.B. Fleet Co. in Lynchburg. She served her country in World War II, repairing B-29 airplanes for service. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 2 p.m. prior to the service at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
