Helen Elizabeth Lundie Connock, age 91 died Sunday May 16, 2010 at Roman Eagle Nursing Home. Helen was born June 23, 1918 to the late Benjamin Louis Lundie and the late Minnie Farmer Lundie. Mrs. Connock was married to the late William B. Connock.
Helen was a homemaker for most of her life. Helen was a member of Main St. Methodist Church. She also was a member of the ladies auxiliary of American Legion Post 325.
Helen is survived two daughters Brenda Goss Scearce and husband Russell and Bette C. Brown all of Danville, seven grandchildren Debra Brown, David Brown and wife Karen, Denise Vanvalkenburg and husband Frank IV, Duane Brown and wife Jenna Brown, Donald Goss, Jr. and wife Shelley, Chris Goss and wife Reva and Susan Goss,seven Great-grandchildren Ashley Athey, Rachael and Reid Brown, Frank and Sophia Vanvalkenburg and Kristen Goss and Jacob Goss and two nephews Richard Hudgins and Baker Miller.
In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by three sisters Nancy Gardner, Marie Leigh and Doris Lester and one grandson Todd Goss.
Graveside service will be held 4:00pm, Tuesday May 18, 2010 at Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA with the Rev. Susan Hannah officiating.
The family will be at the home of the daughters Brenda Goss Scearce, 105 Northridge Dr. Danville and Bette C. Brown 2314 Franklin Turnpike, Danville.
