Mrs. Lavinia K. Breibeck
Ottawa-Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lamb-Roberts funeral Home here for Mrs. Lavinia K. Breibeck, 87, Ottawa. She died Friday, Nov. 9, at an Ottawa hospital.
Mrs. Breibeck was supervisor of the charge board in the credit department at the Jones Store in downtown Kansas City, Mo. She previously taught at Liberty School in Benton County, Mo., and was employed by the P.J. Poindexter Dry Goods Co. at Kansas City, Mo. She retired in 1968.
She was born Jan. 1, 1897, near Lathrop, Mo., the daughter of William J. and Elizabeth C. Warrington Lord. She moved to Cross Timbers, Mo., with her family as a child, and later lived in Kansas City, Mo., many years. She moved to Ottawa in 1971.
Mrs. Breibeck was a member of First Southern Baptist Church at Ottawa. She had also been a member of Mount Washington Baptist Church at Independence, Mo. and First Baptist Church at Shawnee.
She was married to Francis L. Breibeck Jan. 1, 1921, at Kansas City, Mo. He died in December 1961. She was also preceded in death by a son Francis Raymond Breibeck.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Armstrong, Route 1, Pomona; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Washington Cemetery, Independence, Mo. Mrs. Breibeck will lie in state after noon today until the service hour at the funeral home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at First Southern Baptist Church, Ottawa, in care of the funeral home.
