Alma Stiers
Services for former Shelby County resident, Alma Stiers, 74, Bellevue, Ohio were held Saturday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church there with burial in the Bellevue Cemetery. Mrs. Stiers, who had been in failing health several years, died at her home Thursday. A daughter of Ollie and Daisy (Meltzer) Jeffries, she was born June 2, 1910, in Liberty Township. She was married October 19, 1927, to William Ruhlman. She was later married to Jerry Stiers. Survivors include children, Mrs. Charles (Pat) Close, Fort Pierce, Fla., Mrs. Don (Clara) Price and Wilma Decker, both Indianapolis, Paul Ruhlman, Ashland, Ohio, Don Ruhlman, Greenwood, and Steve Ruhlman, Edinburgh; several step-children; 11 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Herman (Leona) Gilles, Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by one sister and six brothers.
