She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Butler; her parents, Herbert C. Dagg & Iris Dagg, and a brother, Herbert F. Dagg. She was a member of the Hillcrest United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sons, John Burgess, Jim Burgess and his wife, Susan; stepson, Joe Butler, Jr. and his wife, Alyson, both of New Jersey; grandchildren, Carrie Mains, Christopher Burgess, John Ryan Burgess, Adam Burgess, Ashley Burgess, Joey Butler, & Jake Butler; nine great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
Interment followed funeral services conducted at the Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel; Rev. John E. Dejong presided.
