Herbert H. Garrison, 72, of 426 Spring St., Belvidere, died Thursday in Warren Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks.
He had been a resident of Belvidere since 1921. Until his retirement in 1962, he was an employee of the Warren County Road Department for more than 40 years.
He was born in Knowlton Township, a son of the late Andrew and Mary Van Campen Garrison.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving are his widow, the former Sarah Riddle, a daughter, Mrs. Edna Stout of Columbia; two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere.
