Widow of L.L. Tice dies at her home, age 86. Mrs. Catherine J. Tice, widow of the late L.L. Tice, and for more than half a century a resident of Bond County, passed away at her home on East South avenue at 6 p.m. Thursday following an illness of two weeks of diseases incident to old age. Mrs. Tice was 86yrs. of age. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greenville Free Methodist Church of which she was a member, the pastor, the Rev. A.H.M. Zahniser, officiating. Interment was made at Montrose cemtery. Mrs. Tice's maiden name was Catherine Jane Bigham, the daughter of Joseph Bigham, and she was born Jan 7 1843, near Columbus, Ohio. Having attained the age of 86yrs, and 1month at the time of her death. She came to Illinois with her father when a small child, her mother having died when she was quite young. The family resided near Donnellsom, just over the line in Montgomery County. She married to Louis L. Tice July 4 1874, and they moved to Bond County where she had resided since that time, in and near Greenville. To Mr., and Mrs. Tice one son L.W. Tice was born, who survives. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Mr. Tice died 6yrs. ago.
