Pearl was born on the family ranch southwest of Mullen, Neb. on Dec. 18, 1912, a daughter of Elick and Florence Guest Sexton. On April 4, 1930, Pearl married a local cowboy, Francis Brennan in Sidney Neb. and to this union was born seven children.
In 1943, Francis was hired as a carpenter and later a superintendent for the fledgling Long Construction Company. His job required him to travel throughout Nebraska, Wyoming, South Dakota and Montana and wherever he went, Pearl was there with the children. In 1960, they settled permanently in Laurel.
