MRS. E. C. HANSON'S FATHER
PASSED AWAY IN OKLAHOMA

Johnson McDonough, father of Mrs. E. C. Hanson passed away at the home of his son in Clinton, Oklahoma, Sunday. The remains were brought here, and funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hanson. Rev. Marsh officiating and interment in Lakeview Cemetery.

Mr. McDonough was formerly a resident of this place, later of North Superior Consolidated township.

Johnson McDonough was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio, July 30th, 1839 and departed this life October 5th, 1924 at Clinton, Okla., aged 85 years, 2 months and 5 days.

Mr. McDonough was ??? ???? ????? manhood in Ohio and came to Independence, Iowa in 1866. He was united in marriage to Miss Emma Kemp in 1867. To this union were born ten children, Mrs. Eva Dougherty of Salem Oregon; Chas. of Meriden, Iowa; James and Mrs. G. L. Miller of Estherville, Iowa; Floyd of Harris; Mrs. E. C. Hanson of Spirit Lake; Arthur F. of Shenandoah, Iowa; Mrs. Melvin Kelley of Callender, Iowa; Mrs. Click and Hugh McDonough of Clinton, Oklahoma. His wife preceded him in death a year ago last March. He has been a patient sufferer for the past two years and death came as a release from the sufferings for which he was fully prepared.
