Mary Ann Reater/Ritter Paff was a native of Pennsylvania. She married Aaron Paff in 1838. Mary Ann settled with her husband in Cedar Creek Township, Allen County, Indiana where they raised their eleven children. She was a Baptist but joined the Methodist Episcopal Church. Her husband's biography is in the "Valley of the Upper Maumee" and they are listed as early settlers of Cedar Creek Township in, "The Pictorial History of Fort Wayne, Indiana". Mary Ann is listed in the 1850 - 1880 U. S. Census for Cedar Creek Twp., Allen County, Indiana, as a housewife. She passed away in 1883 at the age of 70 years, 6 months.
