WILLIAM FARNSWORTH DEAD

William Farnsworth, the prospector who suffered terrible injuries by falling into his camp fire a few miles north of Gunlock on Dec 19th and was brought here for treatment died on Jan. 12. One of his legs was amputated in hopes of saving his life, but he succumbed despite all that could be done for him. His parents and two sisters are said to be living at Delta, and three brothers are living at Richfield, his former home. His sister, Mrs David Turner of Delta, arrived here Wednesday and had the remains taken to Washington for interment.

Ren Bryson informs the News that William Farnsworth The man who died recently here as a result of severe burns received by falling into his campfire while in an epileptic fit was the original discoverer of gold in the Bull Valley Mining District (see News article 1908-03-26) He was subject to fits and lay for several hours away from aid when he received the frightful injury.
