"The funeral for Ralph W. Michael, 71, 128 Ramona St., Vacaville CA, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, at Magelby's Vaca Hills Chapel with Bishop Kent Turner of the Vacaville Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints officiating.
Mr. Michael died in a local hospital Monday after a sudden illness. A long-time Napa resident, he had lived in Vacaville for two months and was employed as a correctional officer at the California Medical Facility for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Helen of Vacaville; a son, Douglas Michael of Los Angeles; a stepdaughter, Nellie Thomas of San Diego; a stepson, David Chugg of Napa; five sisters, Mabel McNamara and Bernice Bastien of Hughson, Lois French of Waterford, Grace Ahern of San Francisco and Winnifred Colt of Modesto, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren."
