Ownly F. Bush, 81, of Route 2, Harrisburg, died at 1:37 p.m. Sunday in Harrisburg Medical Center.
He was born in Independence Township on Sept. 17, 1908 to the late R. W. and Hattie Reynolds Bush.
Mr. Bush was a heavy equipment operator and was road commissioner for Independence Township for 16 years. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and Carrier Mills Masonic Lodge.
On Dec. 23, 1939, he married the former Ruth Vinyard, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Barney Bush of Herod, Fred Bush and John Bush, both of Harrisburg; a sister, Mrs. Noel (Lois) Reynolds of Harrisburg; three grandsons; and three granddaughters. Three brothers, Barney, Dave and Robert Bush and a sister, Sina Bush, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gaskins Funeral Home, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday and where the Masonic rites will be said at 7 Tuesday. Burial will be in Saline Ridge Cemetery.
