Mary Gladys Sparkman Deaton Haston, age 89, died on December 26,2006 at NHC Healthcare in Sparta, TN. She was born on May 12,1917 to Frank Sparkman and Mary Alice Womack Sparkman. She was a retired school teacher for Van Buren County Schools and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Doyle Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Herbert Deaton, her second husband, John T. Haston, her son, Jimmy Frank Deaton, and her brother, Hascal Sparkman. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patsy and Jessie Mullins of McMinnville,TN. She has six grandchildren and their spouses, Penny and Alan King, Tena and Anthony Sloan, Jessie and Melissa Mullins, Chad and Layne Mullins, J.J.Deaton and Jessica Deaton. Six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at High's Chapel on December 28,2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Bobby Wilhite and Bobby Moore will be officiating. Burial will be in McElroy Cemetery in Van Buren County.
