David Carr, 49, of Red Bud, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, at his home. A native of Harlan County, he had lived here most of his life.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Marie Huskey Carr and Curtis Carr; two sisters, Larabelle Carr and Wanda Carr; and four brothers, John L., Earl, Jack and Curtis Carr, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela Carr Baker and husband, Hank, Lancaster; two brothers, Floyd "Tom" Carr, Red Bud; Roy Gene Carr, Richmond; and two sisters, Millie Couch, Mt. Vernon, KY; Mary Frances Marcum, Jackson Co., KY.
Also surviving are four nieces, Christine Barnes, Mt. Vernon; Jennifer Marie Jenkins, Wilmore; Sonya Robbins, Richmond; Fannie Marcum, Bear Creek; a nephew, Charlie Couch, Jr., Michigan; great-nieces and great-nephews, Aaran Barnes, Heather Rae Barnes, Tiffany Barnes and Ty Aaron Couch; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday, March 27, 2010, at the Evarts Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Howard and the Rev. Verlan Madden officiating.
Burial will follow in the Carr Family Cemetery at Red Bud. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
