Earl W. Smyth 85, of Port O'Connor; died Wednesday Nov. 19. 2003
He was born Oct. 22 1918 in Mart, Texas to Alva P. and Velta Craven Smyth. He graduated from Mart Texas High School in 1936 and received a bachelor's degree of science in business administration from Austin College i Sherman Texas. He served as a flight instructor for the U.S. Army and was a founding member of the Gulf Coast Conservation Association. He was a retired oil company executive and also a retiree of Tesoro Petroleum Corporation.
Survivors: wife, Alda F. Smyth; daughter, Patti Smyth of Southlake, Texas and brother, Brooks Smyth of Port Lavaca, Texas
Preceded in death by: son, Scott Smyth; and sister, Marjorie Smyth of Port Lavaca, Texas
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Community Center of Port O'Connor: Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home, Port Lavaca, Texas 361-552-2988.
