Rose Edeth Brown was born in Benjamin, Texas on Jan. 29, 1936 to the late Cecil and Zula Carver Conner. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Rising Fawn, Georgia since 1984. She was a faithful Christian from age 17, a lover of truth, loving wife and dedicated mother and grandmother. Rose spent many years of her life in diligent study of God's word under great pioneer preachers such as Foy E. Wallace, Jr. and Franklin Camp. It was her deepest desire to be the best servant of Christ she possibly could be by teaching others the Bible. She instilled in her children the eternal principles of God's word in order to live a successful Christian life here on earth. Her family, brothers, and sisters in Christ and friends will sorely miss Rose, but are rejoicing with the angels that she has reached her reward for her faithful service to God (Rev. 2:10).
Rose is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Travis R. Brown; four sons, Travis D. (Cheryl) Brown of Henegar, AL, Mark Brown of Benjamin, TX, Samuel Brown of Huntsville, TX and Matthew (Bobbie) Brown of Chattanooga, TN; one daughter Christi (L.A.) Flinn, of Easr Ridge, TN; two brothers, Bud Conner of Benjamin TX and Larry Conner of Thalia, TX; one sister Judy Redwine of Crosbyton, TX; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grand children.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Minister Daniel Rogers and Minister Dean Roach officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Rising Fawn Church of Christ, Rising Fawn, GA.
