(Her Death record in Fitchburg Vital Records, City Hall, Vol C-6, Folio 5, gives her name as "Melina La Fountaine, aged 54 years, 4 months". Her listed age may be an error, as that would make her born before her parent's marriage.

She is listed in the 1900 Census for Fitchburg, MA, as being 69 yrs old, born in 1831. Melina was buried in St Joseph Cemetery, Fitchburg with her husband, Alexandre HEBERT- LAMBERT, in the MORIN plot. There is a tall monument on the plot, with Alexandre's name included, but her name was not on it. ( July 1996)
