Lillian T Hengstler, age 97 of Baraboo, died on Friday, Jan 28, 2011 at St Clare Hospital. Lillian, daughter of Morton and Mary (Warner) James, was born Aug 2, 1913 in Almont, ND.

On Feb 4, 1931, she was united in marriage to Gordon Hengstler at the First United Methodist Church Parsonage in Baraboo.

Lillian was employed at Hammock Factory for many years. Some of her hobbies included working in the garden to supply plenty of food, as well as crocheting hundred of afgans and Easter Bunny baskets over the years for friends and famiy. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Baraboo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon; son, Howard; granddaughter, Jamie Sue Burgess; daughter-in-law, Lois Hengstler; two brothers; and 3 sisters.

Survivors include her children, Maurine (Alan) Dunse of Baraboo and Joyce (George) Burgess of Baraboo; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her sister, Margaret (Don) Marshall of Baraboo; as well as other relatives and friends.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
