George A. Connell, 70, died December 10, 1993 in Washington City with cancer.

Born August 24, 1923 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Arthur Henry and Marvel Wulfenstein Connell. On May 16, 1948 he married Marilee Rocco in Las Vegas.He was a locomotive engineer and retired in 1980. In the summer months, he was an engineer on the Heber Creeper. World War II veteran serving in the Navy. Member of Milford National Jeep Search and Rescue, Milford Civil Air Patrol, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Elks Lodge #1743 in St. George.

Survivors include his wife, daughter, son, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister.

Funeral Tuesday, December 14, 1993, 11 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 300 West St. George Blvd. Visitation on Monday, 7-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services.

Interment in Washington City Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
