Son of Edward Bletcher and Beverly Manoogian, brother of Sharon and Sharlene.

A larger than life character in 1970's Fresno, he was on the staff of the Easy Rider's magazine in San Jose and a bouncer at various nightclubs around Fresno. Armond Bletcher stood over 6 foot 3 and weighed 350 pounds. He was so strong it was reported in Easy Rider magazine that he could pick up a couple of motorcycles at the same time and put them in the back of a pickup truck, but Easy Rider magazine was known to embellish a bit. He could bench press over 700 pounds. He continually lifted weights and because of his size, he was alleged to be a steroid user.

He worked as a bouncer, partly because according to Sonny Barger, he just loved to fight and he never lost. Once after an altercation while working the door at a bar called the Circle in Fresno, he was alleged to have shot a man. He was found to have acted in self defense.

The Fresno Bee newspaper printed allegations apparently purposely leaked from local Law Enforcement that he was a paid enforcer for local drug gangs and that the FBI was seeking to indict him for racketeering at the time of his death. Although the article was printed in The Fresno Bee, Armond was never indicted or charged.

He lived in both San Jose and Fresno, a personal friend of Hells Angels president Sonny Barger and the staff at Easy Rider's magazine.

After he was shot and killed in Fresno, The Fresno Bee reported that Armond had tried to get his cousins to lie for him and say he was on their tire shop payroll so he could account for his income.

His cousins reportedly refused and claimed that Arnold came over threatening to kill them both. The unarmed Armond was shot and killed by his cousins the Pashayan brothers at their tire shop after ambushing him and hitting him with a baseball bat did not slow him down.

The brothers claimed self defense against the unarmed Bletcher.

Armond rode in style be it his customized Harleys , his 55 Ford Pickup, or his Vettes.

He left daughters Lorai, Shelly and Shayleen, twin sister Sharon, former wives Sandra and Wanda, girlfriends, many family and friends. His headstone reads Husband of Janice, father of Shayleen.

Armond now has grandchildren that he never had a chance to meet.

Additional information gathered indicates possibly 1 other daughter that Armond may have never met. He was very popular among the motorcycle crowd and lived the biker lifestyle.
