Jacquelyn Marie Duffy was born to Peter and Marie Duffy in Kansas City, Kansas. She served in the US Navy, attaining the rank of Lieutenant. On February 25, 1961, she married Clyde W. Brewer, Jr. at Camp Pendleton, California. Clyde passed away October 9, 2002. After his retirement Jacquelyn and Clyde lived in Elkhart, Indiana, before moving to Monticello. She was a homemaker, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary in Monticello.

Jacquelyn was survived by three sons: Michael of Geneva, Illinois, William of Monticello and John of Chicago; one daughter, Patricia Bransfield and her husband, of Chicago and five grandchildren. Her brother, Robert Duffy, and her sister Bonnie Duffy, are deceased.

Mrs. Brewer passed away at Home Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. She was interred with military honors by Disabled Veterans Chapter 19 at Prairie St. Cemetery.
