PAUL A. MOLDENHAUER KIEKHAEFER EMPLOYEE, CHURCH WORKER

Paul Arthur Moldenhauer, 38, of 102 Park Ave., Van Dyne, employee of the Kiekhaefer Corp. and a veteran of service with the United States Army, died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at Veterans Hospital, Wood, where he had been a patient since Jan. 1.

The son of Richard and Martha Luedke Moldenhauer was born Jan. 19, 1929, in Montello. He served with the Army from Sept. 29, 1949, to Dec. 26, 1952, three years of this time with the military police in Germany. Following his honorable discharge, he lived and worked in Ripon as a meat cutter apprentice. Mr. Moldenhauer moved t Van Dyne in 1956 and was employed at Kiekhaefer’s at the time of his death. He never married.

A member of Zion Lutheran Church of Van Dyne, he was active in the church council, was a Sunday School teacher and had served as assistant fire chief of the Van Dyne Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include one brother, Hilton, and one sister, Mrs. Leonard Sell, both residing in Montello. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bidlingmaier Funeral Home until 12:30 p.m. Sunday and from 1 p.m. Sunday at the Zion Lutheran Church until the 2:30 p.m. funeral service, Rev. W. H. Zickhur officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Funeral services for Paul Arthur Moldenhauer, who died Wednesday, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church, Van Dyne, Rev. Waldemar Weissgerber and Rev. W. H. Zickor officiating. Mrs. Emil Nimmer was organist for the service. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the church council and included Carl Hinz, Roger Wagner, Richard Woller, David Jacobs, Glen Rheinhold and Eldor Luebke. Active pallbearers included Elmer Steffern, Hilbert Fisher, Erwin Babler, Gary Anthes, Robert Schwertfeger and Orville Bergman.
Military graveside rites were conducted by Trier-Puddy Post 75 of the American Legion and included Floyd Jones and Joseph Karst, color bearers; Victor Broome and William Greene, color guards; Henry Schultz, John Pitas, Donald Kinnney, Everett Culver, Arthur Mossong, T. Edward Sullivan, Leo Marcoe and Thomas O’Hearn, firing detail; Robert Samuel, bugler; and Edson Stubbs commander.
