Mrs. Dorothy L. Wright, 79, of Wasco, California passed away at home on May 10, 2010, with family by her side. Mrs. Wright was born in Logansport, Louisiana, and moved to Bakersfield, California in 1952. She lived in Wasco, California for the last 45 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie J. Wright and her son, Bobbie Goodie, her parents, three sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Wright was an avid reader and gardener. She loved God and loved people. She was a devoted member of Valley Faith Fellowship Church in Delano. Her favorite words were "love one another", and "love never fails." Mrs. Wright is survived by three children, Jo Ann Goodie, Joyce Goodie, and David Goodie, and a sister in Beaumant, Texas, Mrs. Mildred Franks, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held at Peters Funeral Home, 1401 7th st. Wasco, CA on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 2pm to 8 pm and graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11 am at Wasco Memorial Park.
