William Walker Rutter, died at 5 o’clock this morning at his home, 433 Moss Street, aged 57 years. He was a member of Carpenter’s Union 492, this city, the Ivy Leaf Association and the Newmanstown Athletic Association. Surviving are his widow, Cora E. (Strickler) Rutter; two children, Anna E., wife of G. Harold Goodman, and William Rutter, both of this city; six grandchildren; one sister, Laura, wife of W. E. Garrett, Denver, and one brother, Joseph Rutter, Pennsburg. Funeral on Sunday at 1 p.m. from the home. Further services in the Newmanstown Evangelical Church, the Rev. Charles Dreher, officiating. Interment in Elias Cemetery, Newmanstown, in charge of Funeral Director H. M. Mellinger, of Denver. [Reading Eagle, October 24, 1935, Page 30]
