She was born in Monroe County, Ohio, on Jan. 25, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ollie Hartshorn Green. She graduated from Valley Beauty School. She was a member of the Belpre Church of Christ, and worked for Forma Scientific for 20 years retiring in 1990 and had been a beautician for over 30 years. During the war years, Nancy worked in a factory that produced war materials and was a licensed forklift operator for the plant in Newark, Ohio. She also enjoyed doing needlework and reading her Bible.
Survivors include her three daughters, Judith Pierpont of Belpre, Donna Mae Rowley (Gilbert) of Marietta, Debbie Cronin and Harry Yoho of Marietta; her son, Gene "Eddie" Mallett (Kelley) of Marietta. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edmond Mallett in 1961; three brothers, Roger, Robert and Von Green.
Services will be at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, on Friday at 11 a.m. with Ron Laughery and Teddy Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Cemetery, Marietta. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
