A retired pipe fitter and member of Local 198, he passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at his residence in Bayou Pigeon. He was 82, an Army veteran of World War II and a native of Pierre Part.

Visiting at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Bayou Pigeon, Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by the Rev. Joey Angeles. Interment in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery in Pierre Part.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gursie Berthelot Alleman; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra Alleman Berthelot and McCurley Jr., and Belinda Alleman; a son and daughter-in-law, Felman Alleman and Deborah; seven grandchildren, Cory and Cassie Alleman, Chasity Easley, Lacy Berthelot, Brooke, Hannah and Erin Martinez; and five great-grandchildren, Cody and Emma Loupe, Samantha Alleman, Cole and Caydence Easley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Odelia Coupel Alleman; a daughter, Dinia Lee Alleman 1956-1978
; and a brother, Ned Alleman.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who was and will be greatly missed by his friends and family. He was a member of the American Legion and a commercial fisherman.
