Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Highland Cemetery in Ottawa for Norman A. Caudle, 69, Topeka. He died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at a Topeka nursing home.

Mr. Caudle worked in production and maintenance for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Topeka for 33 years before he retired in 1987. He served as a corporal in the Army as a gunner with an artillery unit in Germany from 1952 to 1954.

He was born March 17, 1930, in Ottawa, the son of William Alva and Effie Rozella "Rose" McGinley Caudle. He was raised in Lyndon and graduated from Lyndon High School in 1948. He moved to Topeka in 1953.
Mr. Caudle was a member of Countryside Christian Church and Local Union No. 307, both in Topeka.

He married Naomi "June" Vobach on June 30, 1976. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Michael Caudle, Topeka; two daughters, Darla Caudle, Kansas City, Mo., and Pamela Woosley, Radcliff, Ky.; a brother, William "Ray" Caudle, Wichita; four sisters, Dorothy Lottie, Topeka, Irene Walenta, Houston, Helen Rake, Topeka, and Joyce Hensen, Lyndon; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and sent in care of Dengel and Son Mortuary in Ottawa.
