IRENE ELLEN TERRY, 96, of Garrett, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at DeKalb Memorial Hospital, Auburn.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Zion 16 Lutheran Church, rural Corunna.

Born Dec. 14, 1913, in Waterloo, she was the daughter of the late Theron and Gertrude (Schuster) Farrington. She married Maurice W. Terry on Jan. 1, 1937, in Jackson Township; he passed away on July 28, 1998.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sandra Terry of Garrett; four daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Norman Peters of Tinley Park, Ill., Sherrill and Wayne Peters of Auburn, Sandy and Phil Aldrich and Joan Ice, both of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister; a brother; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.

Service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Feller & Clark Funeral Home, 1860 S. Center Street, Auburn, with calling one hour prior. Pastor John Stuck officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in Cedar Creek Cemetery, in rural Garrett.

Memorials may be directed to Zion 16 Lutheran Church, in rural Corunna.
