MULBERRY — Thurman "Doc" Trotter, 63, of Mulberry died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at his home. He retired as a laborer with Trane Corporation of Fort Smith and was an Air Force veteran of four years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post No. 8532 in Coal Hill and was a Baptist. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hixon Cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth ; two daughters, Denise Lem of Mulberry and Rebecca Dunahoo of Fayetteville; one son, Dale of Mulberry; one sister, Hilda Hill of Ozark; four brothers, Kenneth and Jerry, both of Ozark, Jim of Fort Smith and Gene of Haysville, Kan.; and two grandchildren, Kelsey and Nathaniel, both of Mulberry. Pallbearers will be Bill and Ben Schaffer, Wayne and Michael Smith, Tom Eveld and Bill Dunahoo. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Ozark.
