WM. KEYSOR

Many friends in Chariton will learn with deep regret of the death of Mr. William Keysor, which occurred at his home in Chariton on Monday, August 24th, 1914, at the age of seventy-one years, five months, after a lingering illness with paralysis and a complication of troubles.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Burhl Gilpin, were held at the home yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Chariton cemetery.

William Keysor was born on March 23rd, 1843, in Morrow county, Ohio. He moved from there with his parents to Brooklyn, Iowa, where he was married in the fall of 1867 to Miss Annie C. Kittering. From there he moved to Kansas and from there to Missouri, then back to Lucas county, Iowa, near Oakley, where he made his home from 1872 until 1901, when he moved to Chariton, where he has since resided.

To Mr. Keysor and his wife two children were born, a son, Eugene Harold, who died on August 19th, 1888, and a daughter, Mrs. Mumford, of this city. Mrs. Keysor passed away on March 16th, 1911, and since that time he has made his home with his daughter.

Three sisters are also living, Mrs. Alsinda Norris, of Montezuma, Iowa; Mrs. Fronia Sleggel, of Coon Rapids, Iowa; and Mrs. Purlia Stephenson, of Hutchinson, Kansas.

During his long residence here Mr. Keysor has won innumerable friends by his genial ways and kind disposition, and his passing away will be regretted by all who knew him. The sympathy of the community will be freely extended to the sorrowing daughter and sisters who survive.
