A. Floyd Leininger, 63, died in Sunbury September 12, 1975. Mr. Leininger lived in Florida for a number of years and moved back to Sunbury in 1974. While in Florida he worked as a superintendent of the water department of Hollywood, Fla. For 22 years. He retired in 1973.

He was a member of Lodge 22 F & AM, Sunbury; Bloomsburg Consistory; Post 201, American Legion, Sunbury; and the Sunbury Social Club.

He was a veteran of WW II, serving in Navy and assigned to LCT (Landing Craft, Tank) group 79, Flotilla One

Born in Lower Augusta Twp., Nov 22, 1911, he was a son of the later Aaron and Lottie Smith Leininger. Survivors are his widow, Helen K., to whom he was married for 40 years; four sisters, Mrs. Olive Thomas and Mrs. Hazel Shunk, both of Sunbury, Mrs. Lena Shipman of Sunbury RD2 and Mrs. Gloria Hoffman of Sunbury RD3; five brothers, Oscar Leininger of Sunbury RD3, Harold Leininger of Shamokin Dam, Seth Leininger of Paxinos, George Leininger of Sunbury and Chester Leininger of Selinsgrove RD2.
