JESSE DAVID BREWER--57,OF 517 E. Calhoun Street died about 10:30--March 30, 1962---.this morning in McDonough District Hospital. He had been in the hospital, since suffering a heart attack about a week ago . Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday at the Methodist Church the Rev. Richard Newhall officiating . Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Jesse David Brewer was born August 5,1904 near Walnut Grove (McDonough Co.)son of Ira Elmer and Louetta (Hageman) Brewer deceased. He moved to a farm in the Bushnell-Marietta area as a young man. In 1955-56 he operated a grocery store in Marietta. He moved to Macomb in 1958 and was employed by the Illinois State Highway Maintenance department. Mr Brewer was a member of the Macomb Methodist Church, Elks and Moose Lodge. His first marriage was to Irene Haffner. They had five children Keith Brewer and Mrs Alma Brooks of Bushnell,Lyndal Brewer of Monmouth, Marvin Brewer of Gales burg and Mrs Romona English of Marietta and 19 grandchildren ,who survive.He married Lora Pearl James January 13,1958,in Macomb, IL and she survives. He also is survived by a stepdaughter. Mrs. Margalene Sowers of Macomb. Three stepgrandchildren,and one sister,Trella Brewer of Macomb. Two sisters. Mrs Edith Stenger and Twila Brewer are deceased. Friends may call at the Clugston Funeral Home after 6pm. Saturday. Visition with the family will be from, 7 to 9 Sunday evening .
