From The East Palestine Reveille Echo October 18, 1900.
Solomon May and sister, Mrs. Saml Rupert, visited with their brother, Hiram May and wife, of New Bedford last Saturday and Sunday. John Rupert and Mrs. Homer Snyder also started for the same place but shortly after leaving home the only son, Elmer, of John Rupert was suddenly killed at his cider press. Wash Heck went after them at once, overtaking them near Poland. They at once started for their home.
