William was the son of Henry Yancy and Elizabeth Jane (Frazier) Kivett. He married Flora Lovella Kivett in 1893 and they had six children: Blanche, Winnie, William Franklin, Nallie, Leola and Lillian Mae.

Died Early Today

William P. Kivett, aged 54 years, died in a local sanitarium at 12:30 o'clock this morning, following an illness of four months, during which time he had been suffering from a complication of maladies. Mr. Kivett had lived in Greensboro for about nine years, having come here from Asheboro. He was prominently connected in contracting work here.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Misses Nell, Leola, and Lillian Kivett, of this city; one son, W. F. Kivett, of Greensboro; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Burgess, of Ramseur; and three brothers, J. C. Kivett, of this city, J. W. Kivett, of High Point and G. P. Kivett of Randolph county.
The funeral party will leave Mr. Kivett's former home at 217 West Sycamore street, Sunday morning at 11:30 o'clock, for Shady Grove, Randolph County, where the funeral will be held at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

of This City, Dies In Hospital

William P. Kivett, prominent contractor died a t a local sanitarium about 12:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon. He had been suffering with a complication of diseases for the past four months. Mr. Kivett, who was 54 years of age had resided in this city for about nine years coming here from Asheboro.
The funeral party will leave his residence 217 West Sycamore street this morning at 11:30 o'clock for Shady Grove, Randolph county, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
In addition to his widow, Mr. Kivett is survived by three daughters, Misses Nell, Leola and Lillian Kivett, of this city; a son, W. F. Kivett, of here; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Burgess of Ramseur; three brothers, J. C. Kivett of this city, J. W. Kivett, of High Point and G. P. Kivett of Randolph county.
