STAYROOK
Luther James Stayrook, 72, a native of Pennsylvania and resident of Loxley, died Monday, May 10, 2010.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Stayrook and a sister, Carmen Stayrook.
Survivors include a daughter, Jaclyn Stayrook of Orlando, Fla.; four sons, Neil Stayrook of Dover, Pa., Eric Stayrook of East Berlin, Pa., Everette Stayrook of Leusby, Md., and Frank Stayrook of Roanoke, Va.; four sisters, Esther Byers of Hooversville, Pa., Eunice Hershberger of Danville, Ind., Patricia Calloway of Stafford, Va., and Maretta (Tom) Hammitte of Loxley; and three brothers, Miller Stayrook of Goshen, Ind., Spencer Stayrook of Cincinnati and David Stayrook of Red Line, Pa.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 13 at the Loxley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Batchelor officiating.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Leukemia Society of America, 100 Chase Park S. Suite 220, Birmingham, AL 35244.
Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
