Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton for Mrs. Bertha Christine Malone, 98, of Richton who passed away April 24, 2011 at Forrest General Hospital. Bro. Bob Goolsby will officiate at the services. Interment will be in the Eastside Cemetery in Richton following the services. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M.
Mrs. Malone was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Richton. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and a friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Malone; her parents, Duncan and Lilly Burnett; brothers, Melvin Burnett and Welton Burnett.
She is survived by her son Edward T. Malone, wife, Mary Helen of Terry NY; two daughters, Easter F. "Pinky" Dearman of Leakesville and Edna R. Lee of Richton; three sisters, Evelyn Newell, Ora Lee Sanders and Mary "Mag" Malone, all of Richton; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Malone, Drew Breland, Mitchell Dearman, Chase Brewer, Red Dearman, Michael Brewer and J.R. Snyder.
