Sharon-Opal Adams, 89, of Sharon, died Friday, January 9, 1998, at Volunteer General Hospital, Martin.
Services were 2 p.m. Monday at Corinth Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Bros. Dayne Hawk and Jerry Summers officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Gardner Funeral Home of Sharon in charge of arrangements.
Terry Sturdivant, Junior Simmons, Connie Crider, Jimmy Davis, Jimbo Davis and Richard Wilson served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Adams was born February 29, 1908, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Pearl and Rebecca Dortch Cole. She was a homemaker and the widow of Elvis Adams.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Dunn of Sharon and Brenda Brinkley of Nashville; two brothers, Trevie Cole of Chicago and Gerald Cole of Collierville; and four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
