Frank was a musician and played every instrument. He was an orchestra leader & traveled throughout the southern states. He personally knew Jenny Lind, John Wilkes Booth, & Adelina Patti plus many other celebrities of the times and routinely entertained them at his places of business.
He later operated a saloon across from the Merchant's Exchange Building in St. Louis, MO.
In 1894 he moved to & ran 'the House of Comfort' saloon & restaurant at Fairgrounds Park, St. Louis, MO.
While Frank and his wife, Elizabeth, lived to be 84, out of the eight children born to them, they outlived all but two: Rosa Anna and George. Rosa, sadly, did not have any children but George was the father of three children: Maebelle Anna from his first wife Sophia, Michael, and another daughter from his second wife, Carrie.
