Charles Earle Moody, Jr. departed this life after a valiant battle against cancer. During his illness he was lovingly and expertly cared for at home by Gayle, his wife of 57 years. Born in Wellborn, FL, Earle moved to Kissimmee with his family at an early age and attended Osceola County Public Schools graduating in 1951 from Osceola High School where he participated in sports, thespians and student government. He maintained contact with many of his high school friends, coordinating a monthly multi-class reunion luncheon. Upon completing service in the U.S. Air Force he returned to Central Florida and began his career in the defense industry retiring after 33 years with Martin Marietta Corporation, his final assignment as a civilian defense contractor during Operation Desert Storm. He was well known for his many interests and hobbies, among them men's fast pitch softball, model train collecting and antique cars. He was a longtime member of and was actively involved in First Christian Church, Kissimmee. In addition to his wife, Earle is survived by his sons, Don of Kissimmee, Steve (Toni Ann) of Davenport, John (Elizabeth) of Kissimmee, Vince (Lisa) of St. Cloud and daughter, Diana Wallis (Turner) of Kissimmee, 7 grandchildren, Jeni, Charlie, Margaret, Clayton, Rylee, Levi and Galia, and a sister, Joan Howard of Phoenix, AZ. Funeral services were held at First Christian Church in Kissimmee.
