Winfield is the son of Joseph or Josephus & Lucy Robinson.
He married Ellen A. Dalton on 26 Mar 1868 at Windsor, VT; Ellen died of consumption, 27 Dec 1869 at Hartford, VT.
He married (2nd) Laura McIntyre on 19 Sep 1872 at Woodstock, VT.
He died of consumption. (Marriage & Death certificates)

Note:
There is a military gravestone application for Winfield Scott Robinson (WSR), Co. H, 10th Vermont Infantry, who was buried in Taftsville Cemetery, Windsor, Vermont. His date of death was reported as 11/5/1878. The problem is, there was no WSR in the 10th Vermont, in any company.
There was a WSR in Co. G, 9th Vermont, born and died in Woodstock, albeit on 11/5/1877 according to his death certificate, not 1878.
