Michael A. Akins, 33, died Tuesday at St. Joseph Medical Center. Born in Decatur, he formerly lived in Monroeville, and was a waiter at Hall's Orchard House Resteraunt for two years. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Franklin H. and Patricia R. Akins of Monroeville; his companion, Dawn Diserens of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Mark A. Akins of Germany and Mathew A. Akins of Davenport, Iowa; a stepbrother, Christopher J. Voirol of Kendallville; and three stepsisters, Angela Brockhouse and Lisa Voirol, both of Monroeville, and Lora Voirol of Hilton Head, S.C. Services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Zwick-Sefton & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, with calling from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial in Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Memorials to the family.
