WESTPORT, IN - Frank G. Peters, 82, died Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 11:35 p.m. at Morning Breeze Health Care Center in Greensburg.
He was born December 5, 1923 in Fentress County, TN to the late Charles A. and Laura E. (Smith) Peters.
He moved to Columbus in 1962 and has been a Westport resident since 1982.
He was a self employed plumber and had retired in 1982.
He attended the Bethel Apostolic Church in Greensburg and was a member of Westport Masonic Lodge # 52 F. & A.M., Plumber and Pipe Fitters Local Union #440 - Indianapolis.
He enjoyed his family and grandchildren.
He was a veteran having served with the US Army during World War II.
He married Madonna V. (Runyon) Peters on June 28, 1946 in Muncie, she survives in Westport.
Survivors also include his wife, 2 sons, Charles H. Peters, Columbus, IN and Theodore A. Peters, Kansas City, MO; 1 sister, Grace E. Wallen, New Castle, IN; 1 brother, Charles J. Peters, Lawrenceburg, TN; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by his 4 brothers, Lawrence Edward Peters, James A. Peters, George D. Peters and William R. Peters; 4 sisters, Lula L. Catron, Dorothy J. Heckathorn, Minnie B. Denny and Mary Peters in infancy.
Funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Easton Poling and Rev. Joe Nelson officiating.
Burial will be held in Garland Brook Mausoleum with military graveside services.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.
