John Baxter, of Lynndyl, an aged trapper, seventy-eight years old, was found frozen to death by the side of his cabin stove. It is presumed that he got up to build a fire in the excessive cold of that night, which was 32 below and in the effort was overcome and froze to death. Mr. Baxter had been living alone in the cabin for fifteen years. He used to come to Wells Nielson and buy supplies every few days and when he was missed, investigation disclosed his death. He is survived by three sisters and the body was taken by his sister, Mrs. Jane White of Goshen.
