Passed away Tuesday at daughter's home, Mrs. Catherine Baker died at 8:00 p.m. of paralysis, funeral Friday afternoon.

Mrs. Catherine Baker, wife of Elmer Baker, well known in the county died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Bassett, of near Fairland, at 8:00 o'clock Tuesday evening of parapisis. Mrs. Baker had been ill for only one week.

Funeral services will be held at the Little Blue Rive Baptist church Friday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock with Rev. T. R. Theobald officiating.

Burial will be at the Bennett cemetery with Carmony Bros. undertakers in charge.

At the time of death, Mrs. Baker was fifty years old, she was a native of Illinois, and was married to Mr. Baker in 1894.

She was one of the best loved residents of the county and had been prominent in the activities of the Little Blue River Baptist church of which she was a member.

Two daughters, Miss Margaret, at home, and Mrs. Edward Bassett, at whose home she died, two sons, Clarence, of near Fairland, and Jesse, of Morristown; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Sutton, of Hancock County, and Mrs. Margaret Andrews, of Newcastle, four brothers, Elmer E. Brown, and Joseph T. Brown, of this city, James Brown, of near Fountaintown, and John Brown, of Camp Lewis, Wash., two half-brothers, Jesse and William Brown of Bradford, Ill., and her step mother, Mrs. Martha Brown of Bradford, Illinois, survive.
