Archer Walton Johnson, husband of Mrs. Sallie Griffin Johnson, died at his residence, 506 Manteo street, yesterday afternoon at 1:35 o'clock after a long illness. He was a native of Woodville, N.C., and had been a resident of Norfolk for 44 years. He was the son of the late James P. and Mrs. Agnes Walton Johnson. Surviving him, besides his wife are two daughters, Misses Mary L. and Anne J. Johnson, of Norfolk, and I. Branch Johnson, of Richmond, and one sister, Mrs. Annie Hall, of Richmond. The body was removed to the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road, and will be taken to Selden Chapel of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church for funeral services tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock. The Rev. W. Taylor Willis, the rector, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Archer Walton Johnson - Funeral services for Mr. Johnson, who died at his residence, 506 Manteo street, Thursday, were conducted yesterday morning at 11 o'clock in the Selden Chapel of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church by the Rev. W. Taylor Willis, rector. There were many floral offerings and the casket was covered with a double spray of lilies, roses, asters and fern.
Pallbearers were W.J. Gay, J.C. Gay, J.R. Wilcox, H.O. Durham, T.A. Gilladeu and L.G. Hutchins. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
