Doris Pauline Babb Adair, 88, of Martha Franks Drive, Laurens, SC, and widow of Henry C. Adair passed away February 20, 2010.

Born in Laurens County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charlton Rex and Pauline Thompson Babb. Mrs. Adair was formerly employed at the Laurens Hosiery Mill, Belk's Department Store where she was manager of the Boys Clothing and Home Goods Departments and was a well known community seamstress. She once worked at the Hickory Tavern School Cafeteria for her Mother. Mrs. Adair was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught three year old Sunday School for over 33 years and also was a member of a WMU Circle. She was a member of the Lioness Club, the Martha Franks Singers and for 30 years she was a volunteer with the Laurens County Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are a daughter; three sisters; two grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Glenn, James and Duree Babb, and three sisters, Virginia "Jink" Tumblin, Carolyn Martin, and Tink Stoddard.
